 Rowley Engineering  has provided Consulting Engineering to Industrial clients since 1973. In these 25 years we have expanded our initial wood working expertise to other machine and plant designs such as hydraulic cranes on off-shore oil platforms, agricultural machines, post consumer re-cycling devices and other non wood applications. During these same years we have led the lumber manufacturing industry in developing many 'state of the art' mills and invented some of the machines in use throughout North America.

 This page contains examples of past machine's we have provided to our customers. Machine's covering sawmill conveying, Feeding and Trimming. A PLC control system for a Recycling company that recycles plastic pellets and stores the pellets in four, vacuum silo storage tanks. The controls consisted of a PLC Enclosure and  a 10" color Mitsubishi interface panel. Two other machine's were custom metal forming machines which included the PLC enclosures and operator interface's. One, which was used for beams that were used in a well known building in Seattle.

 As consulting engineers we have spent hours working on motor specifications. Recently we developed ConveyCalc, a Windows based " user friendly " format, that cuts the time per conveyor to less than a minute. Another program we developed is What If... a Lumber Manufacturing (Sawmill) software product that is designed to predict the Profit & Loss effect of planned mechanical systems or operational changes before money and time are actually spent. This program evaluates the new changes by comparing results with your present (Base Year) data.
